Northbrook, IL – Maurice Sporting Goods, one of North America’s largest distributors of outdoor sporting goods, announced today that Peak Global Holdings, LLC, the parent company of Big Rock Sports, Head Quarters Taxidermy Supply, and Bluefield Brands has signed a Letter of Intent to acquire the Company. Maurice Sporting Goods will continue to operate without interruption as the two companies finalize the transaction.

Anderson Media Corp., a 100-year-old family business founded in Alabama, has acquired a majority interest in B.A.S.S., LLC, the world’s largest fishing organization, the company announced today. Anderson Media has been an investor in B.A.S.S. for several years. It increased its share of the company Tuesday, and, in a statement released today, it promised “business as usual” for B.A.S.S., which celebrates its 50th anniversary next year.

FLW ANNOUNCES RULES, ENTRY DATES FOR 2018 COSTA FLW SERIES

MINNEAPOLIS (Oct. 3, 2017) – FLW announced Tuesday the Costa FLW Series rules, entry fees and payouts for the 2018 season. The season will again consist of three events in each of the five divisions – Central, Northern, Southeastern, Southwestern and Western – along with the no-entry-fee Costa FLW Series Championship to be held on Lake Guntersville in Guntersville, Alabama.

MINNEAPOLIS  – Fishing League Worldwide (FLW), the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization, announced Monday its rules and entry dates for the 2018 FLW Tour. The season will consist of a 160-boat field competing in seven-regular season events and culminating with the 2018 Forrest Wood Cup, the world championship of professional bass fishing, to be held on Lake Ouachita in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
